REVISED PUBLICATION

Panel Design Specification

The revised specification outlines recommended design capacities (ASD) and design methods for wood structural panels manufactured under Voluntary Product Standards PS 1 and PS 2 and APA Performance Standard PRP-108. Updates include the addition of: W24 design properties, typical trademark and description; new nail and screw withdrawal design tables; new nail-head pull-through design information and table; and method of conversion from apparent EI (tabulated panel EI) to true EI. The equivalent specific gravity for ring-shank nail withdrawal values has been updated, as has the fastener lateral load resistance in both equivalent specific gravity and dowel bearing.
